YoungLA, the leading lifestyle clothing range for men in the fitness world, was founded by the dynamic duo, Gurmer and Robby Chopra, in 2014. Their entrepreneurial journey began without any loans, instead, they reinvested all profits back into the business, showcasing their dedication and commitment to success. Their hard work and integrity have played a significant role in the brand's growth, setting a strong foundation for their success.

The Growth and Success

In Q2 2022, YoungLA saw a tremendous growth, earning $15.8M in Earned Media Value (EMV). This represented a 35% quarter-over-quarter and 143% year-over-year increase, marking a significant milestone in the brand's history. This success can be attributed to the brand's strategic partnerships with fitness influencers who accounted for 84% of its top EMV-drivers.

Leveraging Influencer Relationships

A key aspect of YoungLA's strategy is its emphasis on influencer relationships. The brand understands that its target audience is highly influenced by fitness influencers and bodybuilding champions. This is evident in the fact that 82% of the brand’s Q2 EMV came from influencers who had also mentioned YoungLA in Q1, highlighting the importance of consistent influencer relationships for the brand.

Navigating Challenges

Despite the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, YoungLA has managed to cope well. Gurmer Chopra likens building a successful business to physical exercise and training, where one must put in hard work and push themselves to the limit. This attitude has allowed the brand to overcome obstacles and continue thriving.
