Who is Yash Shah?

  • He is a 24-year-old eCommerce business owner and digital marketer from New York.

  • His main goal is to provide value on his YouTube Channel, unlike eCommerce Gurus on social media who just want you to buy their course.

  • He used what he learned from using paid traffic for his eCommerce brands and started his own company Straightline Media.

  • As of writing this, he has 8.14k on YouTube, which I would consider his channel a diamond in the rough.

  • He attended Rutgers University and went the traditional route of Co-Ops and Internships before diving into entrepreneurship.

  • He lost all his money from his Co-Op, (About 15k) on just testing.

Quick Breakdown of Photo

  • The majority of individuals hide their results, but Yash embraces them.

  • For this client alone, he got them pushing over $2,000,000 in sales.

  • You can check out more of his results under his Instagram profile within his story highlights.

How does Yash Shah Make Money?

  • He makes money scaling his eCommerce brands.

  • He then leveraged his experience in scaling his brands to start his agency StraightLine Media.

  • Yash primarily runs the agency all by himself, and I think we will see more agencies/companies run by a one-man band.

  • Greg Isenberg is betting on this…

Yash was already at the head of the curve with his initial Facebook Group with a few thousand members…

What do you Need to Know from Our Interview with Yash?

When Yash was starting, he would, for example, buy Instagram story shoutouts. These shoutouts cost about $300, but the fact was Yash would keep buying shoutouts even though the other shoutout didn’t produce any sales.

When starting, you have to be very nimble, and if it doesn't work the first time, hope will not make it work the second time.

Yash found his wave with influencer marketing, hopping on the trend and finding early success.

That is where he made most of his initial money.

Saving the best for last…

Yash has a quote on his Linkedin Profile Banner from Peter Drucker that states, “ The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

I think this is so true, and to put this in perspective, you can treat life like a video game.

If starting a new eCommerce brand, make the first level of revenue 100, the second level 1,000, and the third level 10,000. This is in overall revenue, not in a specific timeframe, but you get the point :)

Have a great day, and see you Friday!
